This computer is used to control several essential parameters, such as the time underwater, the current depth, the ascent speed and the maximum time you can stay underwater. You will gain more safety as all rental BCDs have a safety buoy (BS) in one of their pockets, together with a reel. The BS are released from shallow water before an ascent to the surface, so instructors can warn boats in the area not to pass over them. There are divers on the boats and they must move away (more than 50 metres away by law). In this diving course in Barcelona, you will be taught the techniques to use the safety buoys. In the dive centre you will have one of the best facilities in Barcelona with changing rooms with showers, lockers and large cleaning areas. Near the dive centre you will be able to park without problems and free of charge.
- Meeting with the instructors at the diving centre in Parc del Fòrum.
- Distribution of the diving equipment.
- Theory session where you will learn everything you need to dive safely (how the equipment works, how to communicate underwater, etc).
- Transfer to the water point where you will do 6 different dives together with the CMAS certified instructor where you will practice everything you learned during the theory.
-You will do two types of dives: shallow dives (confined water) and deeper dives (open water).
- After the dives, return to the meeting point.
- You will receive an official CMAS certification valid all over the world.
Activity requirements
The minimum age for this activity is 10 years old.
You must know swim.
Minors must present a signed authorisation from a parent or legal guardian.
You must be in perfect health with no illnesses.
Persons suffering from any illness or taking any medication must present a doctor's permission, otherwise the activity will not be allowed to take place.
Not recommended for pregnant women.
Special terms
The meeting time is 15 minutes before the activity starts. No late arrivals will be allowed to take part in the activity.
If a medical questionnaire is completed on arrival at the school and medical clearance is required, the dive will not take place and no refund will be given.
Please note you are not allowed to fly for up to 24 hours after your last dive.
