Your journey begins in the charming village of Albanyà, near Figueres in northern Catalonia. From here, you’ll follow the course of the Muga River, a natural border flowing from Vallespir into Alt Empordà. The name "Muga" itself means "border," and the river truly lives up to its name as it weaves through rocky gorges and smooth pebble banks.

Upon arrival at the meeting point, your guide will provide a full safety briefing and equip you with all necessary gear. Once ready, you’ll begin your water trekking route directly from the site. For the next two hours, you'll hike through the riverbed, swim through calm and lively stretches, slide down two natural water toboggans, and, if you're up for it, make jumps ranging from 1 to 7 meters, all under the guidance of experienced instructors. As you move through the gorge, you'll observe the flora and fauna that thrive in this aquatic ecosystem. The water temperature ranges between 12 and 20°C depending on the season, adding to the invigorating feel of this adventure.

After completing the canyoning trail, a short 15-minute walk returns you to the starting point. There, you’ll have around 30 minutes to relax and enjoy a well-deserved refreshment while taking in the peaceful surroundings.
