Discover the spectacular scenery of Cantabria on a horse trek through the majestic Picos de Europa!

Located in the north of Spain, this impressive massif is the highest in the Cantabrian mountain range. It stretches for almost 650 km across Asturias, León and Cantabria, and is home to three main mountain ranges. Classified as a biosphere reserve by UNESCO in 2002, the Picos de Europa Park is the third most visited natural site in Spain, thanks to its verdant valleys, crystal-clear lakes and craggy peaks.

Horseback riding is an excellent way to explore this exceptional region! Guided by the Aravalle riding centre's certified instructors, you'll ride along scenic trails in the heart of Cantabrian nature. Located in Cillorigo de Liébana, just 15 minutes from Potes, the centre welcomes you for an immersive experience between forests, typical villages and mountains as far as the eye can see.

There are several duration options to suit all levels. Are you a beginner? No problem: the team will provide you with all the equipment you need and introduce you to the basics of horse riding before you set off.

Loved this! We did it as a family, and some of us had never ridden before. The horses were well chosen, the scenery was absolutely amazing. Definitely worth it!
