Enjoy this Via Ferrata adventure in Tajo de Ronda. An adventurous activity filled the most impressive views! Only an hour away from Malaga.

Ronda is a town that is located one hour far from Marbella, in the province of Málaga in Andalusia, Spain. It is set in and around a deep gorge spanned by an impressive bridge, where you will explore this Via Ferrata.

This via Ferrata is easy and perfect for a via Ferrata initiation. From this amazing itinerary, you can enjoy the most visited place in the province of Malaga, a gorge about 100 meters deep, excavated by the Guadalevín River, and the famous Puente Nuevo, a true emblem of this city.

The origins of the Tajo de Ronda via Ferrata date back 1917 when a terrible accident occurred. After that, the Sevillian workers decided to build walls to prevent it from happening again. Today, the modifications they did to the rock are the base of the via ferrata.

This was a great introduction doing two short routes. The routes were simple so it was great that the kids, 12 and 14 could do this without being roped to an adult. They absolutely loved it
