Activity description
Come down on a kayak journey on the Ticino between Cresciano and Bellinzona provides a relaxing river cruise with a few waves but no true white water.
Ideal for first-time whitewater/kayakers, nature lovers, families, and youth groups. Our trained guides will accompany you in separate boats as you go down the river in inflatable canoes for 2 to 4 people each.
RIVER: Ticino
SECTION: Cresciano - Bellinzona, approx. 10 kms
DURATION: approx. 3-3.5 hrs, approx. 1.5 of them on the water
Your guide will meet you at the Stazione Osogna Cresciano, a disused railway station, where we will be staying. The guides will greet you here. You will be given information about the excursion as well as your white water rafting equipment. Then we'll proceed to our put-in point, where the instructors will give you full safety and paddle training before you get on the water! Learn about your boat (and your paddle partner/s), how to paddle and maneuver the canoes, and what to do if you fall in... You are now ready to go!
Your canoe tour will take you into the breathtaking Leventina Valley. The current will transport you through the greenery of the trees and the yellow-white sands of the beaches. Take advantage of the sea and the warmth of the Ticino sun... The journey will conclude at Arbedo, Bellinzona, not far from the junction of the Ticino and the Moesa rivers. Our take-out location has your dry clothing and a joyful landing apero waiting for you.
