Discover Åre’s snowy and magical landscapes on an adventurous dog sledding ride, and a unique mushing experience! Take a scenic dog sledding ride through the snowy landscapes of Åre’s valley with a warm cup of coffee or a delicious lunch.

Åre is one of the leading Scandinavian ski resorts, situated in Northern Sweden, Jämtland County. As Sweden's most upscale ski resort, Åre boasts fantastic landscapes, ideal for dog sledding trips through the snowy terrains. 

Your furry Alaskan husky friends have been waiting to show you their stomping grounds! No previous experience is needed, and this adventure is entirely family-friendly. These huskies are strong and friendly, making them the ideal companions for a day out in the snow.

Your instructor will introduce you to the 9 dogs in charge of your sled and go over some brief safety measures. Then it’s time for a ride! The sled seats up to four people comfortably and if you are up for the challenge, you will have the opportunity to drive it a bit yourself! There are two different options you can choose from: a 16 km trip or a 35 km day trip that includes a delicious lunch stop in Bergstugan.

Die Schlittenhunde-Fahrt hat sehr viel Spaß gemacht. Wir sind durch Wälder und über zugefrorene Seen gefahren. Nur leider ging die Fahrt nur 1:15 h und nicht wie in der Beschreibung angegeben 2 h. Wir durften, wenn wir wollten, den Schlitten auch selber lenken und die Hunde vorher und nachher streicheln.

Amazing experience! Dogs were very friendly and well cared for. We were taken on the sled through woods and over a frozen lake. We were asked if we wanted to go further than the agreed 16km and offered coffee to warm ourselves up afterwards

There is no better way to explore the landscape and nature than in the company of these wonderful furry friends. All the dogs were so kind and welcoming. The people also were amazing. One pack full of joy and great vibes. I definitely come back for a day trip 😍

This is a real experience and definitely worth doing. We booked the small 2hr trip. In reality this equated to about 1hr on the sled.

It was an unbelievable experience. I recommend that you wear warm shoes and clothes as it gets freezing while riding. My feet were like frozen as I did not wear the proper shoes. All in all, friendly huskies and welcoming staff.

We chose to do the 2 hour dog sleigh and it was incredible! The dogs were gorgeous, we were able to play with them after our ride. The actually sledding was so much fun we recommend to anyone!!
