Could there be a more enjoyable way to enjoy Nordic nature? Join Kiruna Guidetur and paddle along Sweden's northernmost river by canoe! Beginners are welcome!
During this adventure, you'll travel along the Torne River, or Torneälv, Finnish Torniojoki, Sweden's northernmost river! Get ready to immerse yourself in the beautiful and remote scenery!
Partway through this tour, you'll stop on the shore for a well-deserved lunch break and enjoy some warm beverages. No prior canoeing experience is required to join this tour, as we will try to paddle in easy-flowing water. However, if there are participants who wish to try rapids, your guide will be more than happy to facilitate that!
The total paddling distance for this tour is about 10 km (6 miles) in total, depending on the weather.
- Meetup at 10:00 a.m. at the guide's office. (Please arrive 10 minutes prior.)
- Transfer to Torne River starting point (15 min.)
- Instructions, then the canoeing begins!
- Stop for lunch & coffee/tea
- Canoeing continues (total distance by canoe is 5-10 km)
- Shuttle back to Kiruna
- Back around 14:00
