Take part in a beginner windsurfing lesson in Malmö, learning the basics from the picturesque Ribersborg Beach. Welcoming adventurers from ages 12 and up!
Malmö is the third-largest city in Sweden, located in the southernmost part of the country. The city is known for its diverse population and vibrant multicultural atmosphere. It is also home to many parks and green spaces, innovative architecture and cultural attractions.
Ribersborg is a beautiful beach located in Malmö, along the shores of the Öresund Strait. Ribersborg Beach offers stunning views of the Öresund Bridge, which connects Sweden to Denmark, as well as the iconic Turning Torso skyscraper in the distance, the perfect scenic setting for windsurfing!
For this activity, you can book for 1 day or 2 days depending on your preferences. The lesson will begin at the starting point at Ribersborg in Malmö. You’ll meet the certified instructor, who will go through a safety briefing. High-quality gear will be provided, including windsurfing equipment (sail and board), a wet suit and a personal floatation device. Then, the windsurfing lesson begins!
The lesson will start with theory, you’ll learn the basics of windsurfing and sailing and the important safety guidelines. Then, you’ll head out to sea and put the theory into practice! Following the guidance from the instructor, you’ll learn how to control the sail in the wind and how to balance on the board. The board is sturdy and tailored to suit the rider. The wind conditions at Ribersborg are usually mild, perfect for beginners! If you choose to add on a second day, this will be spent mastering the techniques and improving your skills. At the end of the lesson, you’ll return to the starting point at Ribersborg Beach in Malmö.
