Course of events
Please allow a full day for the whole experience.
- Pick-up at the location of your choice in Switzerland (your accommodation, a train station, etc.)
- Discuss the day's activities with your guide
- Transfer by public transport to the hiking area, including the ascent to Fronalpstock aboard the Schwyz-Stoos funicular
- Departure for a 2 to 5-hour hike, depending on your level and preferences, with several breaks along the way to suit you
- Lunch break (approx. 1 hour): you can either stop off for a picnic or go to a restaurant, depending on what you want (meal at your own expense)
- Continue the hike for 1 to 3 hours, depending on your level and preferences, with several breaks along the way to suit you
- Transfer back to the location of your choice and end of the activity

Its viewing platform is easily reached by the Schwyz-Stoos funicular railway, the steepest in the world at around 774 metres. So it is a must-see in the centre of the country! And to make the most of it, what better way than to take part in a guided hike of the Fronalpstock in a small group? You will reach Schwyz by public transport, ready for a great day's hiking on the Fronalpstock.
