Globus Empordà

Joan Viñas created Globus in 1999, moved by his adventurous spirit and a fascination from hot air balloons. That's why he decided he wanted to share his passion with everyone in the beautiful region he calls home, Ampurdan

Ampurdan is the home town of Joan and his crew, that's is the reason why he knows the area like the back of his hand, the little towns, the farmlands, the weather, the wind, the geography, the people, and every single aspect that contribute to give you a once in a lifetime experience.

Since 1999, Joan has accumulated an impressive amount of flight hours during his practice in different parts of Catalonia and Spain. He's also been part of expeditions to the Amazonas, the Sahara, across the Baltic Sea, over the Kilimanjaro and Madagascar among many others.

Today, he is joined by his brother Jaume and his friend Jordi Sierra de Verges, who are both pilots with years of experience, dedication and love for hot air balloons.
