Practical information
Feel the thrill of breathing underwater with this SSI Discover scuba diving session in Exiles Bay near Sliema in Malta! The total duration of the activity is 3-4 hours and includes 2 dive sessions of 60 minutes each, depending on air consumption. First, you'll dive in confined waters from the shore. Then, you'll dive off Exiles Bay coast and dive down to 12 m (39 ft) in depth!
This first dive experience near Sliema is designed for beginners, no previous experience is required.
Course of events
- Meet your instructor at Dive Systems Malta - Tower Point - Exiles Tower Road, Sliema SLM 1601, Malta.
- Briefing.
- Equipment.
- 30-minute theoretical lesson.
- 40 to 60-minute dive in Exiles Bay.
- 40 to 60-minute dive off Exiles Bay's coast.
- Return to the diving centre.

What better way to explore Malta than a first diving experience in Exiles Bay? Located on the eastern end of Malta, Exiles Bay is home to crystal-clear waters and vibrant marine life. If you have always wanted to try scuba diving, this 4-hour SSI discover scuba diving lesson in Exiles Bay is the perfect place to start. Under the guidance of an experienced instructor, you'll learn the basics of scuba diving and breathe underwater for the first time.
The SSI Discover Scuba Diving lesson unfolds with a comprehensive briefing about the equipment usage. Then, you'll embark on two thrilling dives. The first dive takes place in shallow confined waters from Exiles Bay, allowing you to acclimate to the underwater environment while completing basic skills. The second dive will be in deeper waters, off Exiles Bay's coastline!
The duration of each dive is flexible, typically 30 to 60 minutes. At the end of this SSI scuba diving journey in Exiles Bay, you and your instructor will return to the meeting point near Sliema.
