Tandem Paragliding Flight in Salzburg from the Summit of Gaisberg

Please allow 1.5 hour in total for this activity.

• Meeting: Meet your pilot at the "Gaisbergspitze" (Gaisberg Summit), exactly at the final bus stop of bus Line 151.
• There are cozy mountain restaurants right next to the launch site. If you arrive early, you can enjoy a coffee or a traditional Austrian meal with panoramic views while you wait. Free public restrooms are also conveniently located directly at the meeting point.
• Preparation (approx. 20 min): Short walk (80m) to the launch site. Complete the flight ticket/insurance and receive a safety briefing including time to ask questions about the flight.
• Gearing Up: The pilot provides and set up the harness and helmet. Final equipment check before takeoff.
• Take-off: The pilot inflates the wing. The passenger takes a few active steps down the gentle slope until airborne.
• Flight (approx. 15 min): Scenic aerial tour over the Gaisberg nature reserve. The pilot points out landmarks (Salzburg City, Alps, lakes). Please note that the actual flight duration may vary slightly depending on wind and thermal conditions.
• Acrobatics (Optional): If requested, the pilot performs high G-force maneuvers (spirals). Otherwise, the flight remains smooth.
• Landing: The pilot briefs the passenger for a smooth touchdown at the landing field in Guggenthal.
• Debrief & Return: Removal of gear and review of photos/videos (Optional). A short 1-minute walk to the bus stop for the return trip to Salzburg center (Mirabellplatz), which takes approx. 12 minutes.

You must be able to run a short distance (approximately 30 meters) to take part in this activity.

Weight limit range: 20-115kg (44-253lbs).

If you have important health conditions, you must inform the pilot before takeoff.

All participants must sign an on-site insurance waiver.

All children must be accompanied by an adult.

Depending on the weather conditions on the day of the activity, your flight may be rescheduled for safety reasons.

If weather conditions are unfavorable, your instructor will contact you 1-2 days before the scheduled date/time to reschedule or provide a full refund if no better date can be found.

The pilot and passenger harnesses are equipped with secure, integrated back compartments designed to safely store small personal items (phones, wallets) as well as a standard daypack (average school backpack size, up to approx. 20 liters).

The pilot captures photos and videos of the flight, which can be purchased onsite for €35. High-quality images and videos are transferred directly to your mobile phone within minutes after landing.
