Activity description

Escape the routine and explore the impressive Cueva des Coloms, in Mallorca, on this caving excursion from Cala Romántica, near Porto Cristo.

This activity is perfect for beginners in the world of caving. We guarantee you'll have a lot of fun with a multitude of obstacles. You can be accompanied by the youngest members of the family. The only requirement for participants is that they must be over 10 years old and know how to swim.

The excursion starts in Cala Romántica, one of the best known coves in the east of Mallorca, just 10 minutes by car from Porto Cristo. From this cove you will hike to Cala Falcó. Once here, you will swim to the Cueva des Coloms, where you will be able to enjoy unique formations, stalactites, stalagmites, columns, lava flows... Afterwards, you will do some rock climbing, and finish the excursion by hiking back to Cala Romántica.

Come and go caving in the Cueva des Coloms, a unique experience you won't forget!

Course of events

- Meeting with the guide at Passeig Estany d'en Mas, in Cala Romantica.
- Hiking to Cala Falcó from where you will swim to Cueva des Coloms.

- Rock climbing in Cueva des Coloms.

- Hiking route back to Cala Romantica.

Activity requirements

All participants must be able to swim.

Minors must have authorization from their parents.

Really fun activities, even if walking 40 minutes in the hot sun was not all that comfortable. Don’t forget to bring enough water! The views along the way were well worth it. Rappelling down the cliff side next to the entrance to the cave was not difficult, and really fun. Of course exploring the cave was the best. Incredible « rooms » full of stalactites and stalagmites in many colors, and cristal clear lakes of frigid water we got to swim in. Truly unforgettable!

Superbe activité, avec un super moniteur! Attention, peut être une activité déconseillée aux personnes aillant peur du vide (escalade, descente en rappel), aux personnes clostrophobes (grotte), ou bien encore au personnes ne sachant pas très bien nager.
