Stargazing at Lake Minnewanka and Two Jack Lake in Banff National Park

Please allow up to 5 hours for the entire experience.

• Minibus pick-up from your hotel in Canmore or Banff (please arrive in the lobby 10 minutes before the scheduled pick-up time).
• Journey to a local lookout to admire the nighttime view of Banff and take pictures from an elevated vantage point while your guide shares stories of Banff’s history (approx. 15 min)
• Enjoy a short, scenic drive to Lake Minnewanka (about a 20-minute drive) where the guide will share anecdotes about wildlife and indigenous stories.
• Stop at the Lake Minnewanka where you will have to walk 5-7 min to reach the lakeside and enjoy the views (approx. 45 min).
• Drive deeper into the park to arrive at a viewpoint on the shores of Two Jack Lake (5 min).
• Settle into premium heated chairs, observing the sky using telescopes, binoculars, and iPads equipped with constellation-identification apps (approx. 2 hours).
• Enjoy complimentary hot chocolate or cup of tea to warm up.
• Walk back to the minibus.
• Return to your hotel and end of the activity.

All minors must be accompanied by an adult.

All adults must sign a waiver prior to the tour. A waiver must also be completed by the parent or guardian of any child under the age of 18.

This activity is not accessible to people with reduced mobility.

Pets are not permitted to join in this activity.
