Set off on an unusual adventure at Camp Taureau, nestled in the Lanaudière region, just 2.5 hours from Montreal. This region is a true paradise for outdoor enthusiasts, offering magnificent landscapes and unspoiled nature to discover. Whether you're coming from Montreal, Trois-Rivières or Quebec City, you'll be charmed by this authentic getaway in the heart of Canada!

In this incredible setting, spend a day with the whole family and discover trapper life on the shores of Lac Taureau. This richly rewarding experience is ideal for an educational day in the great outdoors.

As you immerse yourself in the life of a trapper, you'll take regular breaks to observe and interpret your surroundings. Your day as a trapper begins with a hike to your trapper's camp. There, you'll learn how to search together for birch bark to start your fire, and how to use a flint. You'll enjoy a hot meal prepared over the fire, a tasty experience in the heart of nature.

The day continues with new discoveries, including an introduction to trapping and hunting techniques, as well as an introduction to ice fishing. You'll learn more about the traditional skills of trappers and about living in harmony with nature. To round off this unique experience, you'll discover trapper furs, an important part of Quebec's history, before helping to feed the sled dogs back at camp at the end of the day.
