Course of events
You should plan around 1 hour and 30 minutes to enjoy this activity:
- Pick up in the area of Playa Blanca or arrival at the meeting point on your own.
- Presentation of your expert instructor
- Equipment distribution
- SUP lesson for approximately 20 minutes
- Time to hit the water!
- Approximately 1 hour of practice in the water with your instructor
- Return to the meeting point
- Return of equipment
- Return to the pick-up point in Playa Blanca and end of the activity.
Activity requirements
It is not necessary to have paddle surfing experience to participate in this activity, but it is necessary to be in good physical condition.
All minors must be accompanied by an adult or have written authorisation from their parents or guardian to participate.
You don't need to be able to swim to participate, but you must be comfortable in the water.
A minimum of 2 participants is required for this activity.
Special terms
Your expert instructor offers a transport service within the Playa Blanca area. If you are interested, please contact the instructor once your booking is confirmed to confirm a pick-up time and place.
If you are not staying in the Playa Blanca area, your instructor can pick you up at the bus station near the meeting point.
If you need to change when you arrive at the meeting point or leave your personal belongings somewhere, your instructor has a room at the H10 Hotel Rimanfaya, which is next to the beach.
Photos will be taken with a phone or GoPro camera, depending on availability. They will be sent to you via email or WhatsApp after the activity.
This activity is not recommended for pregnant or disabled people.
Please note that the duration and itinerary of the activity depends on weather conditions. Due to unforeseen weather phenomena, your itinerary may be shortened or take a different route than usual for your safety.

Discover the south coast of Lanzarote and the beautiful, calm and crystal clear Playa Blanca Bay on this SUP lesson from Playa Blanca! Located in the Canary archipelago, about 100 kilometres off the coast of Morocco and Western Sahara, Lanzarote is a beautiful volcanic island surrounded by a sometimes calm and sometimes rough Atlantic sea. The island is a year-round summer paradise and welcomes visitors from all over the world looking to relax on its beaches, explore its mountainous landscapes or enjoy the surrounding ocean, which maintains a temperature of 18 to 23 degrees Celsius throughout the year.
On the day of your stand-up paddling lesson at Playa Flamingo, your instructor offers to pick you up from the Playa Blanca area. If you are not staying there, you can arrive at the meeting point yourself or ask to be picked up at the bus station near the beach. Once you are at Playa Flamingo, you will meet your expert instructor, and if you need to change or store some items off the beach, you will be shown to a room at the H10 Hotel Timanfaya, so you can do so with peace of mind.
Once all participants are ready and on the beach, it's time to start the adventure! You will receive your board, paddle, and life jacket, and for about 20 minutes, your instructor will teach you the necessary techniques to navigate, stand up and generally be comfortable on the board. After this lesson, it will be time to get into the water. For about an hour, you will have the opportunity to practice the techniques your instructor has taught you, and to explore the bay of Playa Blanca, which may surprise you with beautiful corals and colourful fish through its crystal clear surface. At the end of the indicated time, you will return the equipment and continue your day in Lanzarote, but not before receiving photos of your spectacular paddle surf lesson at Playa Flamingo, to take back with you and show them to your loved ones.
