Activity description

Tenerife is the largest of the Canary Islands with an area of 2,034 square kilometres and 342 kilometres of coastline. Thanks to its mountainous geography, it is home to the Pico del Teide, at 3,718 metres, the highest mountain in Spain. These same geographical features make the island one of the best paragliding spots in Europe. With the highest difference in level in Europe, its volcanic landscapes and warm climate, Tenerife is a top destination for anyone who wants to paraglide.

This paragliding flight over Teide will depart from Izaña at 2200 metres on the Pico del Teide, right in the Teide National Park. The landing will be in Puerto de la Cruz on the north coast of Tenerife.

During this paragliding flight you will witness the whimsical rocky landscapes of the Orotava Valley and enjoy a close view of the Teide volcano. In addition, you will glide over a sea of clouds, forests and rural sites on the north coast. As an extra treat, you will have a privileged view of the charming old town of La Orotava and Puerto la Cruz.

Offer Description

The flight will last approximately 25 minutes and the altitude will be approximately 2200 metres.

Course of events

- Meeting with the instructors.

- Briefing of the activity.

- Equipment with harness and helmet.

- Start of the 25 minutes flight.

- Landing.

Activity requirements

Passenger must weight between 35 and 120 kgs.

Minors must have authorization from their parents and must be accompanied by an adult.

Special terms

Pick up is included for people staying in the north of the island. People staying in south and want to fly in the northern areas must meet in La Laguna city.

The specified flight duration is with optimal weather conditions, when they are great the flight can be extended with no additional cost.
