About the activity
Discover the Corsican mountains on this unforgettable snowshoe trek from Val d'Ese! For 1 or 2 days, you'll set off on an excursion to explore the wild landscapes of the Isle of Beauty under its blanket of white. Between enchanting beech forests and panoramic ridges, this high altitude immersion offers a grandiose natural spectacle, worthy of the most beautiful postcards of Corsica in winter.
After meeting the guide early in the morning, you will set off from the Val d'Ese resort (1622m) to climb the Punta di a Cuperchiata (1939m) or Monte Giovanni (1945m). Depending on the snow and snow conditions, your route will take you to the Scaldasole ridges, offering a splendid and unique view of the sea and the Gulf of Ajaccio. A refreshing break at the Foce d'Astre hut will allow you to fully savour the serenity of the Corsican mountains.
This hike will also give you the chance to rediscover your childlike spirit! Between two ascents, you can have fun with a descent in a snow 'cuculuge' or take part in the construction of igloos. For those who want to learn more, the guide will share his expertise during an introduction to safety techniques (DVA search) and the study of snow, punctuated by winter tales and pastoral stories by the fireside.
Organised in small groups to ensure a convivial and privileged experience, this outing is accessible to anyone in good physical condition. Whether you're with family or friends, this adventure between land and sea is the ideal way to discover the Corsican landscape from a whole new angle.
