Activity description
L'Hippocampe offers you to come and follow your Level 1 scuba diving training in the clear and warm waters of Calvi, north of Corsica!
Open to everyone aged 12 and over, the Level 1 (or PE 20) course includes 5 dives spread over 3 to 5 days. It will give you a taste of the incredible world of scuba diving, and enable you to dive to depths of up to 20 meters anywhere in the world!
You will start with an introductory dive, followed by other dives that will give you greater independence. You will learn how to rig, de-rig and use your equipment. Each session of this Level 1 diving course in Calvi is designed to enable you to acquire the technical and theoretical bases that will make you a more autonomous diver.
All your Level 1 dives are divided between practical exercises, fun activities and underwater exploration. All in a warm and friendly atmosphere, supervised by state-qualified instructors who will ensure your comfort throughout your Level 1 diving course in Calvi.
At the end of the 5 dives, you will receive a training booklet certifying your Level 1 (supervised 20 meters diver). So don't delay - start your diving course in Calvi, Corsica, and discover the underwater world off the Balagne coast!
- Welcome at the diving centre in the port of Calvi
- Safety briefing and explanation of the equipment and procedure for the first dive
- Boarding the boat and equipment on board
- Dive for around 45 minutes (a practical part, a fun part and an exploration phase in each session)
- Return of equipment and journey to the centre to organise the next session according to your availability.
Training in 5 dives according to your availability to dive progressively down to 20 metres.
Activity requirements
Knowing how to swim is compulsory for this activity.
Please arrive 15 minutes before the start of the activity.
Minors must be accompanied by an adult.
All participants must bring a medical certificate from their doctor dated within the last 3 months stating that they are allowed to practice this activity.
Special terms
You have the possibility to rent lamps or GoPro cameras on site. You can bring your own SD card or buy one on site.
Please note you are not allowed to fly for up to 24 hours after your last dive.
