Practical information
Experience a first dive in the Cerbicale Islands nature reserve, a supervised 20-minute immersion to a maximum depth of 6 metres.
Please allow 2 hours for the whole experience.
- Reception at the Sub Tortue diving centre in Saint-Cyprien, Lecci
- Briefing on the course of the activity
- Wetsuit equipment (changing rooms available)
- 5-minute walk to the boat and boarding
- Navigation to the dive site (15 minutes maximum)
- Safety briefing
- Launch with instructor (1 diver per instructor)
- 20-minute immersion to a maximum depth of 6 metres
- Back on board the boat with the opportunity to go snorkelling while waiting for the other participants to complete their first dive
- Sailing back to Saint-Cyprien Bay with a debriefing
- Disembarkation and walk back to the centre
- Return of equipment and end of the activity, with the possibility of a hot shower at the centre
It is not necessary to know how to swim to take part in this activity.
You must not have any medical contraindications to take part in this activity (asthma, chronic ear infections, heart or respiratory problems, nervous problems or severe stress).
This activity is not accessible to pregnant people.
Pets are not permitted to join in this activity.
Accompanying persons wishing to come on board the boat without taking part in the first dive must book their place for the snorkelling excursion.

Barracudas, sars, groupers, saupes, starfish, nudibranchs and many other underwater species inhabit the Cerbicale Islands Nature Reserve, making it a superb place to discover scuba diving in Porto-Vecchio, in southern Corsica. There are several dive sites here that are accessible to beginners (Forane Island, La Vacca, etc.), with turquoise waters that can reach up to 26°C at the height of summer. All the conditions are there for you to enjoy a first dive in complete safety, alongside a qualified instructor from Sub Tortue, a diving centre located in Lecci, in the bay of Saint-Cyprien.
Your first dive in the Cerbicale Islands Nature Reserve will give you 20 minutes of immersion to a maximum depth of 6 metres, alone with an instructor who will stay by your side throughout the dive. You will discover in complete safety the incredible sensations of weightlessness, breathing through a regulator and the silence that surrounds you beneath the surface, while observing the underwater flora and fauna that thrive here. Finally, on your return to the centre, you will be awarded your first dive diploma, which you will need if you want to go further and start a certification course after this great first diving experience in Porto-Vecchio!
