Please allow approximately 6 to 7 hours for this activity.
- Start with a hotel pick-up or arrive at the operation center in El Roble de Sarapiquí.
- Travel to the river entry point to begin your journey through the biological corridor.
- Board your stable raft.
- Embark on a 2-hour tranquil safari float down the lower Sarapiqui River.
- Observe diverse tropical species including monkeys, lizards, black river otters, and exotic birds.
- Pause for an optional swim in the refreshing river waters to get closer to nature.
- Disembark the raft and return to the operation center.
- Refuel with a traditional Costa Rican "Casado" meal and authentic local coffee.
- Return to your hotel via the drop-off service.

Activity requirements
All minors must be accompanied by an adult.
Although knowing how to swim is not a requirement, it is highly recommend that participants know how to swim.
No previous rafting experience is required. The Balsa River is known to be suitable for beginners and individuals with little or no rafting experience.
The maximum weight for this activity is 220 lbs/100 kg.
