The lush Southern Zone of Costa Rica is a world defined by water, where gravity and time have carved deep canyons and hidden emerald pools into the volcanic landscape. From the coastal mountains of Quepos down to the wild shores of Uvita, the jungle hides spectacular multi-tiered waterfalls that serve as nature’s ultimate playgrounds. Each site offers a different atmosphere, from the serene, photogenic beauty of Pavon Waterfall to the high-energy plunge pools of Uvita. These sites are the lifeblood of the rainforest, providing a sanctuary for local biodiversity and a refreshing escape from the tropical heat.
This Waterfall safari is a high-action journey designed for those who want to experience the raw power of the jungle. Unlike standard sightseeing tours, this experience features a "challenge by choice" philosophy, guided by certified water-rescue professionals. You will visit three distinct waterfalls, each offering unique features: a 20-foot natural rock slide that shoots you directly into deep water, and various cliff-jumping platforms ranging from a gentle 5 feet to a heart-pounding 30 feet. Your guides don't just point from the shore; they are in the water with you, physically demonstrating safe takeoff and landing techniques while conducting depth checks to ensure every jump is performed with maximum safety.
Between jumps, you will explore the spectacular volcanic sea caves of Playa Ventanas, where the Pacific surf crashes through massive tunnels carved into the mountain. To refuel after a day of adrenaline, the tour includes an authentic farm-to-table lunch at a private organic family farm, where you will enjoy a traditional Costa Rican "Casado" sourced directly from the land. This is a personalized, small-group experience that avoids the typical tourist crowds, focusing instead on authentic local culture and high-quality adventure coaching.
Departing daily from Manuel Antonio and Quepos, this full-day safari includes transportation in modern A/C vans with short, scenic drives between stops. Whether you are a back-flipping thrill-seeker or someone looking to capture epic photography in pristine jungle pools, this tour provides the safety infrastructure and local expertise to push your limits.
