Course of events
You should plan to spend around 6 hours on this activity:
- Arrival at the meeting point and introduction to your instructor
- 10-minute safety and itinerary briefing
- 15-minute (5 km) transfer to the zipline starting point
- 2-hour zipline circuit with 9 different lines
- 30-minute guided visit to the Twin Waterfalls
- 15-minute return to the resort
- 45-minute lunch at the resort restaurant
- Access to all resort facilities (hot springs, cold pools, mud station, steam room, and botanical gardens) until 17:00
- End of the activity
Activity requirements
Being in good physical condition is required to take part in this activity.
All minors must be accompanied by an adult.
You must speak English or Spanish in order to successfully communicate with the instructors and understand the safety instructions.
Waist circumference must not exceed 50 inches (127 cm).

Located within the rainforests of Rincon de la Vieja, the Blue River Resort is a hub for exciting adventures as well as relaxing experiences. Near the rivers, waterfalls, forests, and more of Costa Rica's natural wonders and with expert local staff, this place is perfect to embark on a new experience.
On the day of your zipline and rainforest waterfall tour from the Blue River Resort, you can pay an extra fee to be picked up at your accommodations, or simply arrive at the resort on your own. There, you'll meet the expert instructor who will accompany you throughout the day, and they'll explain the itinerary for the excursion, as well as a few safety rules to follow, so everyone can have a good time.
Once you're all geared up, you'll set off! You'll follow your 2 instructors along the 600-metre, 9-line zipline park for about 2 hours and enjoy the thrill of gliding through the rainforest from ziplines up to 30 metres high. Next, you'll reach the stunning Twin Waterfalls, or Las Gemelas, which fall onto a lagoon around 1.20 metres deep, where you can dive into waters that are usually 21 to 26 degrees Celsius (70 to 80° F). You'll spend around half an hour enjoying the view and the water before returning to the Blue River Resort.
The final stage of this amazing zipline and rainforest waterfall tour from the Blue River Resort takes place at the resort. You'll eat a delicious lunch with a non-alcoholic drink and regain your strength. Finally, you'll have access to all the resort's amazing amenities, including their hot springs, cold pools, mud station, steam room and botanical gardens until 17:00, when they close their doors to visitors.
