Blue River Resort & Hot Springs

Set in the rainforest of Rincón de la Vieja, Blue River Resort & Hot Springs welcomes travellers in search of nature, blue waters and unique views of the volcano. Since 2010, this ICT resort has been offering a peaceful setting away from the crowds, with an adventure park located on the north side of the volcano, the only one nestled in the middle of the rainforest.

Visitors can enjoy natural hot springs, tropical gardens and a wide choice of day activities. On the programme: canopy tours above the canopy, hikes between rivers and waterfalls, swimming in the blue mineral waters and discovering the local wildlife. The ICT-certified guides provide professional guidance in English and Spanish.

The resort applies sustainable practices, including recycling, waste management and a water treatment plant. Most of the staff come from neighbouring communities, who also supply some of the agricultural produce used on site.
