Join this family adventure to meet huskies and reindeer with a husky sled ride and a small snowmobile excursion from Levi. All ages are welcome!
Levi is a popular ski resort located in northern Finland, within the Lapland region. This area is known for its stunning natural scenery, which transforms into a white wonderland during the winter months. This package tour includes two authentic activities to truly discover the Lappish landscapes - snowmobiling and dog sledding!
The trip begins at the starting point in Levi (pick-up is available from listed locations upon booking). You will meet your experienced guide, who will take you through some safety instructions. Then, you will depart on a scenic journey to a reindeer and husky farm! This safari takes you to meet reindeer and husky dogs up close and personal. You will learn information about these beautiful animals at the farm, before preparing for an exciting sleigh ride!
Following the guide through the snowy trails, you will ride on a sled pulled by either husky dogs or reindeer. This is an exciting excursion for the whole family to enjoy! Experience the beautiful wilderness of this remote location through a traditional mode of transport.
Upon returning to the farm, it is time for the second winter activity, snowmobiling! After a driving lesson, you will get set up with your equipment. The snowmobile will be shared in pairs, with one person driving and one passenger and the opportunity to switch during the ride. Children will sit in a comfortable sled pulled by the guide's snowmobile.
Once again, you will set off driving your snowmobile through the forests and discover more authentic wilderness off the beaten track. After driving for approximately 1 hour, you will return to the starting point. Here, young adventurers aged 4 to 12 can partake in the excitement by trying mini-snowmobiling on a private mini-track, an unforgettable experience! After enjoying some hot drinks, you will return to your pick-up point in Levi.

For this tour, each snowmobile is shared between two, with one driver and one passenger and the opportunity to switch.
For safety reasons, children under 13 years old will sit in a sled pulled by the guide's snowmobile. It is recommended that an adult also sits in the sled with smaller children.
Course of events

- Safety briefing

- Ride through the snowy forest (approximately 3km / 2mi)
- Return to the farm
- Driving lesson for snowmobiling
- The snowmobile adventure begins!
- Drive across the terrain (approximately 1 hour)
- Return to the starting point
- Mini snowmobiling for children on a private track (approximately 10 minutes)
- Enjoy hot drinks
- Transfer back to pick-up point in Levi
Activity requirements
Snowmobile drivers must hold a valid driver's license (category B). Please bring the original document with you on the day of the activity.
Participants must be at least 140cm / 4'6" to sit on the sled as a passenger. Children who meet this height requirement can sit as a passenger when paying the adult price.
