Pyhä is a village located in Finnish Lapland in the north of the country. It is situated within Pyhä-Luosto National Park, offering a stunning natural setting with pristine wilderness. Your adventure will begin at Pyhä Husky Farm, a privately owned farm located in the wilderness in Pyhä. There, you will meet your friendly and experienced guide who will introduce you to the adorable Alaskan Huskies! The tour will start off with a visit of the beautiful farm and its animals. The guide will take you through a safety briefing and mushing lesson before getting you set up with your own team of Huskies.
Each sled can fit 2 adults and 1-2 smaller children or 1 older child. The adult will drive and the others sit in the sled, with the opportunity to swap drivers halfway. A team of six dogs will pull the sled. Once everyone is prepared, the adventure begins! You will set off into the forest that surrounds the farm, passing snowy trees and stunning scenery. The remote location really allows you to take in the stillness of nature. Don’t forget your camera to capture these stunning moments!
After the tour, you will return to the farm with the Huskies. Everyone will gather in a cosy hut to enjoy some delicious steaming berry juice. The guide will share stories about life in Finnish Lapland, and information about the Husky breed. You can ask any questions you may have about the farm and how it runs. Once you have warmed up, you will say goodbye to your new furry friends and leave the farm with life-long memories!
