Your adventure begins at one of the listed meeting points in Saariselkä (please specify when booking) where you'll board the minibus for the scenic transfer to the base camp. Upon arrival, you and your group (a maximum of 12 participants) will be greeted by your experienced guide. Next, you'll put on your winter gear, which includes thermal overalls, boots, and a balaclava. After you've received your safety and itinerary briefing, you'll head to the small village of Koppelo, and then the fun starts! 

You'll set off into the winter wonderland of Lapland on a sled pulled by your guide's snowmobile. Sit back, relax, and take in the stunning scenery as you glide across the frozen Lake Inari. Once you've arrived at the secret fishing location, your guide will provide an introduction to ice-fishing techniques as well as provide the equipment and bait. Then, you'll cast your line into the icy waters. After the ice-fishing portion of the excursion, you'll go to Aurora Island to meet the adorable reindeer! 

Then, you'll warm up by the fire in a Lappish teepee and enjoy a delicious lunch with warm beverages. (Vegetarian options are available, please indicate any dietary restrictions when booking.) After an incredible day spent in Finland's great outdoors, you'll return to the original departure point in Saariselkä with cherished memories and perhaps, a newfound love of ice-fishing!
