Get away from it all and try your hand at canyoning in the legendary Pont du Diable canyon, in the heart of the Hérault gorges, at the gateway to the Cévennes National Park.
This outing, which is both fun and sporting, is the perfect way to discover canyoning in complete safety. You'll alternate between jumps (optional) from 1 to 10 metres, descents down a natural slide, swimming in superb pools and even a zip-line above the gorges! It's all action and fun in a unique natural setting.
Suitable for beginners in good physical condition, the activity lasts around 3 hours and takes place in a friendly atmosphere. Everyone can progress at their own pace: the more adventurous will try the big jumps, while others will simply enjoy the descent, letting themselves be carried along by the water.
Your state-certified instructor will be with you every step of the way, giving you confidence and valuable advice. You'll even learn a few basic techniques to help you understand and play with the currents.
After a warm welcome at the meeting point and a briefing from your instructor, you'll be given all the equipment you need for canyoning. A short approach walk of just three minutes will then take you to the start of the canyon. The descent, which takes around three hours, alternates between a number of varied sections: more than ten possible jumps, including two in pretty waterfalls, slides down natural chutes and several swimming sections in magnificent pools.
With its natural pools, gentle current and easy access, this canyon is ideal for a successful first experience. With friends or family, come and enjoy a perfect cocktail of nature, thrills and good humour, supervised by the passionate 2Ô Outdoor team.
