Discover the Tapoul Canyon in the Cevennes National Park, near Montpellier with the instructors of Escal'OSud !

Located in the commune of Rousses, near Mont Aigoual, the Tapoul canyon is renowned for its natural beauty and breathtaking scenery. With its water-sculpted rock walls, waterfalls, natural pools and narrow passages, the Tapoul Canyon offers an exceptional and varied canyoning experience for adventure sports enthusiasts. The Tapoul Canyon is suitable for all levels, whether you are a beginner or an experienced canyoneer. Learn the basic techniques of canyoning and discover the wild natural environment of the Cevennes.

After a short shuttle ride, and a briefing by your qualified canyoning instructor, set off equipped with neoprene wetsuits, helmets and safety harnesses, to take on the thrilling challenges that the Tapoul Canyon has to offer. You'll have the opportunity to jump from dizzying heights into natural pools of clear water, slide down natural slides and swim through narrow passages. As you explore the Tapoul Canyon, you will be amazed by the unique geological formations and breathtaking views of the Cévennes National Park.

Course of events

- Meet at the parking lot of the Restaurant La Ruche, café de pays, 48400 Rousses.
- Shuttle ride to get to the canyon.
- Equipment set up by your instructor.
- Briefing given by your instructor on the activity, the equipment and the safety rules.
- Aquatic and pedestrian excursions, jumps up to 12 meters, abseils, slides and zip line for a duration of 2 hours and a half.
- Walk back to the meeting point of 10 minutes.

Activity requirements

It is imperative to be able to swim and to be in good physical condition to do this activity.

A written parental authorisation is required for minors to take part in this activity.

This activity is weather-dependent. If the weather does not allow for the activity to take place, we will contact you to reschedule or receive a full refund.
