A glacial limestone cirque surrounded by peaks some of which exceed 3,000 meters in altitude, the Cirque de Gavarnie is a sublime site in the heart of the Pyrénées, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Bordered by the Mont Perdu massif on the Spanish border, it is home to one of Europe's highest waterfalls, the 422 meters high Grande Cascade de Gavarnie. Packed with breathtaking natural scenery, a hike in the Cirque de Gavarnie is an experience not to be missed in the Pyrénées!

Course of events
- Meeting point at the Bureau Montagne Caminando or pick-up by the guide if you are on the road between Cauterets and Gavarnie (to be arranged with the guide once the booking has been confirmed)
- Car journey with the guide to the starting point of the hike
- Start of the hike with approximately 5.5 hours of active walking, punctuated by a lunch break
- End of the hike and return by car to the base (the guide will drop you off on the way if you wish)
