Discover the Tantayrou cave and its underground river between the Aubrac and Grands Causses regional nature parks, near the Tarn gorges!
During this caving excursion in the Tantayrou cave, you will evolve underground in a unique setting, crossed by the underground river of Tantayrou which offers exceptional underground landscapes between rocks sculpted by water, potholes in the rocks and clear water courses.
Supervised by a qualified professional, you will be guided throughout this underground trip, not far from Millau. You will follow a rather sportive caving course of 2.5h, during which you will go up the river of the Tantayrou resurgence, in the heart of a fantastic cave. You will be dressed in your neoprene suit, which will protect you from the cold of the water at around 6-7 degrees. You will also have the opportunity to swim in the crystal-clear underground lake of Tantayrou, a unique experience that you will not forget!
Between the regional natural parks of Aubrac and Grands Causses, the Tantayrou cave is ideally placed to allow you to discover these two parks. The Aubrac will offer you beautiful landscapes between its mid-mountain massif, the Lot and the Truyère, its rocks and landscapes... As for the Grands Causses park, it will reveal landscapes shaped by pastoral activity and dotted with four main causses: the Méjean, the Noir, the Larzac and the Sauveterre. So come and enjoy a unique caving experience in this region rich in natural and cultural heritage, near the Tarn gorges !
