Immerse yourself in the culture of the Hautes-Alpes on this rafting trip down the Guil and Durance rivers, complete with stories and a tasting of local produce!
A unique adventure awaits your family on this rafting trip down the Guil and Durance rivers from the Pont du Simoust in Eygliers. Accompanied not only by a qualified instructor for safe rafting, but also by a local storyteller, you will have the pleasure of combining your rafting experience in the Queyras Regional Nature Park with a few cultural breaks where you can listen to stories and legends from the Hautes-Alpes and taste some local produce!
For almost 4 hours at the end of the day, you will raft down the Guil River, then the Durance River, with 2 pleasant breaks along the way. During the first, you will enjoy a refreshing drink while a local tells you tales and legends of the region, and during the second, you will enjoy a tasting of local produce (cheeses, salmon rillettes, olives, etc.). Adults and children (aged 3 and over) will be delighted to combine cultural discovery with a fun-filled rafting trip down the Guil and Durance rivers!
With beautiful views of Guillestre, Mont-Dauphin and the peaks of the Ecrins National Park along the way, this rafting experience on the Guil and Durance rivers, accompanied by local stories and a tasting of local produce, is sure to leave you with some wonderful family memories near Embrun!
- Meeting with the team at the Nomad River School base in Saint-Clément-sur-Durance
- Equipment at the base
- Transfer by shuttle bus to the starting point of the rafting trip at the Simoust bridge in Eygliers
- Briefing on the activity and safety instructions
- Boarding in the rafts and setting off for a first rafting trip down the Guil River, followed by a stop on a riverside beach to listen to the stories of a local storyteller
- Continue down the Guil River, passing over the Durance River with another stop to finish listening to the stories and enjoy a tasting of local produce (cheeses, salmon rillettes, olives, local tarts, bread, Risoul fruit juice, etc.)
- Return on board the rafts to finish the trip down the Durance River
- Arrival at the base, de-equipping and end of the activity
