Tandem Paragliding Flight on Skis in Les Menuires, 3 Valleys

A paragliding flight in Les Menuires starts with your skis on: a few seconds of gliding across the take-off area and you leave the snow behind for a 15 to 20-minute flight above the resort. From meeting point to landing, allow 55 minutes in total for this tandem flight in the heart of the 3 Valleys, Savoie, ski lift ride included. Depending on the day's conditions, the instructor takes off from the summit of La Masse or Mont de la Chambre, but the meeting point stays the same: everything starts at the bottom of the Pointe de la Masse gondola, and the flight ends at Les Fontanettes.

You ride the ski lift up with the instructor, then ski a short way to the prepared take-off area. While the Niviuk Takoo 6 wing is being laid out, you have a few minutes to take in the view. Next comes the briefing for the take-off phase, then lift-off. Once airborne, the instructor offers you an introduction to piloting: you take the controls of the wing. If you want more of a thrill, aerobatics are available on request at no extra cost. The flight is open to passengers from 5 years old and from 20 to 110 kg, provided they can ski a blue run with parallel turns. The instructor flies with one passenger at a time, in French or English. Helmet, harness and flying equipment are provided: you bring your full ski kit and a valid ski pass. Before each flight, the weather is checked and each passenger's age, weight and skiing level are verified. If the weather does not allow flying, your flight is rescheduled, or refunded if you have no other availability.
