Come and discover the techniques of freediving in the natural environment in the bay of Villefranche-sur-Mer from Nice!

Do you want to discover freediving with an instructor who will make you feel confident and to acquire the good practices of the discipline? Then Chango Diving's SSI freediving course in the heart of the bay of Villefranche-sur-Mer is made for you! Everyone has the ability to make freedives of more than 2 minutes and to descend to a depth of at least 15 meters, you just have to try!

Sheltered from the wind and with a descending relief, the bay of Villefranche-sur-Mer is one of the best sites in the world for freediving! Located less than 15 minutes by boat from the port of Nice, the bay of Villefranche-sur-Mer gives access to sites up to 200 meters deep. Not only is the harbor deep, but it is also endowed with sumptuous drop-offs ranging from 0 to 40 meters and caves covered with small red corals.

The main goal of this course is to become aware of your body and to acquire the basic techniques necessary to progressively build your level as a freediver. Different levels of SSI training are available to allow you to start and progress:

- SSI 1 / Beginner
- SSI 2 / Intermediate
- SSI 3 / Advanced

The SSI 1 course is the best way to discover apnea and train properly in the techniques and safety procedures of the discipline.

Objectives

To learn the following techniques in order to evolve between 0 and 20 m of depth and become an autonomous freediver:
- static freediving
- release techniques
- the right position to have in the water
- relaxation under water

Course of events

Day 1

Theoretical course on the basics of freediving before heading out to sea in the bay of Villefranche-sur-Mer to discover the sensations of freediving and learn the techniques of dynamic freediving with fins (horizontal)

Day 2

2 deep-sea dives in the Villefranche-sur-Mer harbour, during which you will learn to move safely between 0 and 20 metres

It is possible to do this training over 3 or 4 days depending on your desires and your availability. However, for your comfort, we recommend the 4-day version with 1 sea trip each day.

The SSI 3 training course is the highest level of the SSI freediving training program, which allows you to dive down to 40 meters. SSI 3 is the minimum level required to become an instructor.

Objectives

Evolve safely down to 40 meters deep and become a freediving expert.

Course of events

Course description: 3 dry preparation sessions and 5 training outings at sea including :
- 2 theory sessions
- 3 freediving sessions in a protected environment

Activity requirements

You should already have a 30m freediving certification (AIDA, PADI, SSI, RAID, CMAS, FFESSM, etc.)

Activité très complète. Très bonne prise en charge par l'équipe qui encadre en permanence les stagiaires sans pour autant les priver d'une certain autonomie. Temps de plongées maximisés - une bonne quinzaine par demi journée. Le top!
