Practical information
Course of events
- Arrival at the meeting point at the time agreed with your instructor the day before for a quick briefing on the beach.
- Presentation of your equipment.
- Beginning of the course on the beach with an introduction to the various exercises according to your level, the aim being to make you autonomous in complete safety as quickly as possible.
- Independent session
- Debriefing at the end of the session to identify your strengths and weaknesses, estimate your level of practice and see about a session on the water.
Activity requirements
All participants must be aged 16 or over.

As the activity is subject to weather conditions, Marc will contact you the evening before (between 6pm and 8pm) to confirm with you the time of the lesson and the meeting point.

Are you a fan of gliding and sensations? Come and learn the basics of Wingfoil on land, this new sport of gliding, on the magnificent beach of the Bay of Wissant.
The Bay of Wissant located on the Opal Coast a few minutes away from Calais is the best surfing spot in the Nord-Pas-de-Calais. This spot combines wind strength, wave quality and huge sandy beaches for unique surfing sessions, all enhanced by beautiful scenery.
Bed & Kite welcomes you on this spot to make you discover the fundamentals of Wingfoil, this new practice which consists in handling a kite held with two hands while standing on a board on the water.
During your 2 hour session, you will learn the basics of Wingfoil through a course on the beach during which you will learn how to: prepare your equipment, basic meteorology, start, steer with the sail etc. And for the more experienced, you will learn how to transite, change arms, regain power etc.
Marc, your instructor, will adapt his teaching methods to your profile so that you can progress as quickly as possible and make the most of your session and the feeling of freedom that it gives you and then test the practice on the water.
