Activity Snapshot
Activity description
Both fun and sporty, the via ferrata of Curalla is located in the Fiz massif near Chamonix and faces the famous Mont Blanc at 1,420 m altitude!
The via ferrata of Curalla on the Assy plateau offers a breathtaking panorama and several different passages (Nepalese bridge, beam, footbridge). It has some athletic passages and the void is quite present.
During approx. 2 hours and a half, you will progress with your mountain guide Martin Narcy.
Programme:
From 8 am, your guide will pick you up in Chamonix to go to the via ferrata site in Passy. You can also meet him directly at Passy. You join the start of the via by a winding trail in the forest in about 20 minutes. Once you are engaged, there is no possible exit. Most of the time, the course goes upward. The via of Curalla is pretty well-equipped with bars but sometimes there are rocks skated on the natural grips. The most impressive part of the route is the Nepalese bridge and its exit which requires some contortion over the void. The vertical passages are steep but not overhanging. You return by a marked trail in approx. 40 minutes.
