Activity description

Observe the rich underwater fauna and flora of the lagoon of Raiatea and Taha'a during a snorkeling trip at motu Ofetaro!

Located in the lagoon near Uturoa, the motu Ofetaro is an ideal spot for snorkeling in Raiatea. With its clear waters and coral gardens teeming with life, it allows you to discover a large number of Polynesian fish, just like the Teavapiti pass located just below the motu!

From the Uturoa marina, you will leave by boat for a 45 minutes snorkeling trip in the Teavapiti pass. With a guide to introduce you to the fauna and flora under your eyes while ensuring your safety, you will swim at the level of the napoleon drop-off, a site allowing you to observe not only coral fish of all kinds, but also napoleon fish and turtles!

The rest of the day will be spent on the motu Ofetaro where you will be dropped off for the duration of your choice: whether it's only for an hour or for the whole day, you will be able to enjoy the paradise-like setting of the motu as much as you want! Between resting on the beach, picnicking at the water's edge, swimming and snorkeling around the motu Ofetaro, this outing in the lagoon of Raiatea will give you incredible memories with your loved ones.

With all the snorkeling equipment at your disposal (fins, mask and snorkel), you will spend an exceptional moment in the Teavapiti pass and on the motu Ofetaro thanks to this excursion from Uturoa, north of Raiatea!

The Teavapiti pass snorkeing is outstanding. The coral is healthy, colorful and we saw an abundance of fish. The variety of terrain is really interesting and we wished we could have spent more time there.
