After you've arrived at the meeting point at Kallithea in Rhodes and are greeted by your experienced guides, you’ll walk for about 5 minutes before arriving at the climbing spot. Once at the base, you’ll receive a safety briefing and instructions about the equipment and how to use it, as well as information about how the program will run and what to expect. This activity is available to everyone eager to climb up the massive, vertical rocks reaching towards the sky. You’ll be all geared up and secured, with a helmet on at all times!

You’ll start with top-roping, meaning you’ll be assisted by an anchor system that will help you climb, and you’ll get to choose which route you want to take; there are routes for each level, whether you’re an experienced climber or not. The maximum height you will climb to is 22 meters / 72 feet. If you get hungry or thirsty, water, fresh fruit, and sandwiches will be available for you to recharge. After getting familiar with climbing the wall, you can choose to try abseiling in a curvy, tall cave nearby, accessible by a 20-minute hike boasting stunning views. What a way to finish the day!

When I booked this activity, I had no idea how much was actually included. The owner of the company met us at an agreed upon location, and we hiked a short distance to the area where we were rock climbing. They gave us all information needed before the climbing began. I had never rock climbed outside before, and they made sure to go over all safety info before so I felt safe and comfortable. There was a moment during the climb where I got frustrated and wanted to give up, but they guide you through and give you the confidence to finish to the top. After climbing 2 routes, the group hikes up a mountain, and over a cave. The views were truly outstanding. The day is finished after you repel off said cave. I have never had so much fun as on this activity, and our trip to Greece wouldn't have been complete without it. Even if you're afraid of heights, or a beginner to rock climbing, this activity is 100% doable for you! It is a memory my husband and I will never forget.
