Kefalonia is the largest of the Ionian Islands in Greece. It is renowned for its dramatic landscapes, with picturesque beaches, lush forests, and the towering Mount Aino. A quad tour in Kefalonia is a great way to explore the diverse island off the beaten track!

The quad safari in Kefalonia begins at the starting point in Skala, a charming village located on the island's southeastern coast. Upon arrival, you'll be greeted by the experienced local guide. Each quad will hold a maximum of 2 participants, with one person driving and one passenger. After a quick safety briefing and setting up the vehicle, the quad adventure from Skala begins!

Following the guide, you'll drive towards Old Skala, home to ancient Roman ruins. After a brief stop in the village, the quad tour continues on an off-road dirt track through the old villages of Alimatas, Fanies and Asprogerakas. You'll stop at an amazing viewpoint of Tzanata Lakes, before climbing uphill to the mountain village of Kapandriti. Upon arrival at Kapandriti, you'll stop in a traditional cafe to enjoy a Greek coffee.

The quad tour to Poros continues through traditional mountain villages and unspoiled nature, driving past wild flowers and herbs. You'll descend to Tzanata Village and the Mycenaean Tomb. This archaeological site dates back to the 14th century BCE and is considered one of the most significant ancient finds on the island. You'll visit the Mycenaean Tomb, which is believed to be the tomb of King Odysseys.

Then, you'll drive to the village of Poros, located on the eastern side of Kefalonia. This quaint town offers a peaceful atmosphere with traditional tavernas, cafes, and shops set against the backdrop of the Ionian Sea. You'll have free time to explore the village, enjoy a drink, and swim at one of the serene beaches. After the refreshing break in Poros, the quad tour in Kefalonia comes to an end back at the starting point in Skala.

We had amazing fun doing this activity. Our guide Mick was very informative and friendly, and made us feel at ease. Make sure you take a face cover if you dont want to be breathing in dust when you're off-roading, haha! Highly recommend for anyone looking for some excitement on their holiday!
