Discover Scuba Diving at Agia Efimia, in Kefalonia

You should plan to spend around 3 hours on this activity, with a 1-hour dive:

• Arrival at the meeting point and introduction to your instructor
• Paperwork and liability releases
• Scuba diving essentials briefing
• Introduction to scuba gear
• Equipment check and adjustment
• 10 to 15-minute boat ride to the diving spot
• Pre-dive briefing
• Approximately 1-hour dive in the Ionian Sea!
• Return to the meeting point
• Equipment return
• Debrief with your instructor and end of the activity

1. Introduction to Scuba Diving:
   • The primary objective of the Discover Scuba Diving program is to introduce non-divers to the basic concepts and sensations of scuba diving in a safe and controlled environment.
2. Experience Underwater Breathing:
   • Participants get the opportunity to experience breathing underwater using scuba equipment, including a regulator, buoyancy control device (BCD), and tank.
3. Basic Skills Instruction:
   • Participants receive basic instruction on essential scuba diving skills, such as clearing the mask, recovering the regulator, and equalizing ear pressure.
4. Supervised Dive Experience:
   • Under the direct supervision of a certified diving instructor, participants engage in a shallow water dive (typically in a pool or confined water environment) to practice the skills learned and experience the underwater environment.
5. Introduction to Equipment:
   • Participants learn about scuba diving equipment, including how it works, how to assemble and disassemble it, and how to perform basic equipment checks.
6. Safety Briefing:
   • Participants receive a comprehensive safety briefing that covers basic diving safety rules, emergency procedures, and communication signals.
7. Underwater Exploration:
   • Participants have the opportunity to explore the underwater environment, observe marine life (if applicable), and experience the sensation of weightlessness underwater.

For this activity, you must not have any of the following contraindications: respiratory problems (exertional asthma), heart problems, ENT problems, lung problems, diabetes or epilepsy. If you have any doubts, don't hesitate to contact us or ask for medical advice.

All participants must know how to swim to take part in this activity.

All minors must be accompanied by an adult.

This activity is not recommended for pregnant or disabled people.
