Meeting point:Air Riders Kite Pro Centre, Kremasti beach
Activity description
Learn how to kitesurf in one of the best kite spots on the island of Rhodes - Kremasti beach. If you are looking to take the first steps on kitesurfing, you will find introductory courses for small groups, or beginner courses over 3 days to become a confident kitesurfer.
You have three different options depending on your level : either a complete beginner/ introductory course to get all the essential information on kitesurf, learn how to control the kite, how to stand up on the board and what kitesurfing is all about. The introductory courses take place on the beach and depending on your evolution you may get to try kitesurfing in the water.
The beginner course consists of 3 courses of 3 hours. You will start on the beach with a beginner's kite and then get in water to practice and learn how to use the board, go downwind and turn. There is a designated area for beginners so you can practice away from the crowds and be free to do your kite moves.
In the end you have private courses for experienced or beginners who wish to advance much faster. The private courses are designed with your instructor to become a confident kiteboarder.
The beach
The Air Riders spot on Kremasti beach offers empty waters and a clear shore-line. Usually after the courses you will find a party on the beach bar.
The wind
In Kremasti beach you will find the most reliable winds in Europe. From March until November the constant side-shore winds make Rhodes island a paradise for kite-boarders. Thanks to the Meltemi winds, the strong, dry North winds that pass through the Aegean islands every summer while the high season (June to September) guarantees wind as well as warmth.
