Rhodes is the largest of the Dodecanese islands situated in Greece. It is renowned for its stunning beaches, crystal clear waters, and rich history. This kitesurfing course will take place at Kremasti Beach, a pebbly stretch of shoreline on the northwestern side of Rhodes. The beach is surrounded by scenic coastal landscapes, with views of the Aegean Sea and the distant coastline of Turkey.

For this activity, you have the option of a beginner or intermediate kitesurfing course, with varying durations from 1 to 3 days. You can also choose a private course, where you will be one-on-one with the instructor. The group course will have a maximum of 3 participants. To start the day, you'll meet the certified instructor at the starting point at Kremasti Beach. They will provide all of the equipment, including the latest high-quality Duotone kites, boards, and trust and click bars.

For the introductory course, you will go through all of the essential information on kitesurfing. You'll learn the basic theory of kitesurfing, the wind window/wind conditions, the safety regulations and how all the safety systems function, how to set up the equipment and launch/land the kite, kitesurfing rules with the right of way when entering the water and in the water, body dragging, and self-rescue procedure. The introductory courses take place on the beach and depending on your evolution you may get to try kitesurfing in the water.

The beginner course consists of 3 courses of 3 hours. You will start on the beach with a beginner's kite and learn all of the same theory from the introduction course. Then, you'll get in the water to practice and learn how to use the board, go downwind and turn. There is a designated area for beginners so you can practice away from the crowds and be free to try your kite moves.

If you have experience with kitesurfing, you can choose a 6-hour (over 2 days) or a 3-hour intermediate course. During this time, the instructor will help you with any techniques you need to improve, and you can learn more advanced skills such as water start, upwind, transitions, posture correction, jumps and tricks. You can also choose a private 1-on-1 lesson to perfect your skills and plan the lesson with the instructor. This option is suitable for beginners and advanced riders.

The spot at Kremasti Beach is ideal for kitesurfing. During the high season, the constant side-shore winds make Rhodes a paradise for kiteboarders. The Meltemi wind blows through the area, starting light in the morning which is ideal for beginners and picking up in the afternoon for advanced riders. During the course, you can also use the beach facilities at the kite centre, including WiFi, compressors, a washing area, and a chill-out zone on the terrace.
