Practical information
You will make a total of 6 dives (2 sessions per day maximum) whenever you want.
You will learn to use your equipment independently and to check/maintain it. You will practice immersion techniques and underwater communication. Theoretical courses will give you a solid base on the rules of safety and practice of diving.
Objectives
The Level 1 Open Water Diver:
- Can carry out exploration dives up to 18 meters of depth within a group, with an instructor who takes in charge the control of the dive;
- Can equip himself, immerse himself, balance himself and evolve;
- Can prevent diving incidents for himself;
- Can assist a team member while waiting for the intervention of the divemaster;
- Can receive help from the divemaster or a team member if necessary;
- Can apply the instructions given by the diving instructor.
Activity requirements
Minors under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult.

You want to go further after your first dive or your Basic Diver training? Les Heures Saines Diving School in Guadeloupe is happy to offer you the possibility to pass the Level 1 Open Water Diver course in 6 dives in the famous Cousteau Reserve!
The center which is located in Bouillante, next to the Malendure beach and the Cousteau Reserve, will allow you to obtain your Open Water Diver certification thanks to a theoretical teaching on line (access to the SSI kit) and a practical training spread over 6 different dives.
You will have the opportunity to take this international certification with certified instructors who have several years of diving experience and who know how to adapt their teaching methods and itineraries to their groups of students and to the desires of each one. You will have a very rewarding training not only from an academic point of view, but also from a personal point of view thanks to the incredible dive spots around the îlets Pigeon in Cousteau Reserve!
