Practical information
Discover Marie-Galante, a small island in the Lesser Antilles archipelago, and spend several hours on the island enjoying the local specialities.
Course of events
- Departure at 7.15 am from the marina of Saint-François
- Sailing to Marie-Galante for 45 minutes
- Discovery of the island with a guide: visit of Grand-Bourg with its local market, the Murat castle, the Bellevue distillery, then the manufacture of SIWO Batterie, and finally Gueule Grand Gouffre
- Return to the beach around 1 pm for lunch
- Relaxation and swimming before returning to Saint-François at 3.15 pm
Activity requirements
This activity is not accessible to pregnant women, elderly people, small children and people with back problems. It is necessary to be in good physical condition (the swell can be violent and shake the boat strongly).
A minimum of 8 participants is required for the excursion.
Please inform us of any allergies when making your reservation. Special diets may be subject to an additional charge.
Special terms
Vou & Mwen Excursions reserves the right to cancel the excursion on the same day if the weather conditions are not good, or if the minimum number of 8 passengers is not reached.
Please wait at the meeting point at the "cabane Rêverie Caraïbes" and wait for instructions on how to get to the boat.
A port tax of around €2 per passenger is payable on site on the day of the activity.

Part of Guadeloupe, the island of Marie-Galante is a land of sugar cane fields with beautiful white sandy beaches and incredible landscapes such as the Gueule Grand Gouffre, a site you can admire during this boat trip with a guided tour of the island! Departing from the marina of Saint-François, you will board the "Kréyol Horizon", Vou & Mwen Excursions' boat that can accommodate up to 12 passengers for a small group tour.
You will disembark in Grand-Bourg, where your guided tour of Marie-Galante will begin. You will discover the city and its local market, its castle Murat, then going eastward the Bellevue distillery and the manufacture of SIWO Batterie. The visit will end with the site of Gueule Grand Gouffre, north of Marie-Galante, an impressive spot not to be missed on the island! A lunch will follow on the way back to the beach, as well as a moment of relaxation and swimming before returning to Saint-François.
It's hard not to think about visiting Marie-Galante during a stay in Guadeloupe, so make the most of it and opt for this one-day trip that will allow you to discover the essential of the island with the help of a guide!
