After a safety and itinerary briefing, you'll board the Super Jeep (a large all-terrain vehicle equipped to easily traverse rugged topography) and set out towards Herdubreidarlindir fresh water springs.
This unique oasis sits on the edge of the vast Ódáðahraun lava field, famously called the “last water before the lava field. Here, you can join a guided walk to the historic hideout of the infamous outlaw Fjalla Eyvindur from 1775, or simply relax by the stream, sip fresh water, and take in the tranquility of the Icelandic Highlands.
Then, you will head to the iconic Askja Caldera and Iceland's central highlands. Comfortably seated, you'll be treated to magnificent views along the way. Sit back, relax, and enjoy! Once everyone has had their fill of exploration and relaxation—typically between 2.5 to 3.5 hours—you’ll return to the vehicle and continue your adventure.
