Due to construction at Fontana Spa and Wellness, this combo will be unavailable from 15 October 2025 until 30 April 2026.
Course of events
Please allow approx. 2.5 hours at Silfra and 30 minutes to drive to Fontana. Relax as long as you want in the Fontana Spa.
- Arrival at the meeting point at Silfra 15 minutes before the tour start time, check-in with guides
- Division into groups of 6 people, one group per guide
- Briefing and gear-up with your guide (∼1 hour total)
- Once you are fully dressed, your guide will take a number from the park ranger and that will be your group’s number to enter the water
- Make your way to the entry platform, short wait (wait time may vary)
- Snorkel for about 30-45 minutes in the water
- Exit through the platform, walk back to the meeting point (∼250 meters)
- Take off equipment, enjoy hot chocolate and cookies to warm up
- At this point, you will have time to chat with your guide, ask any questions you might have and take a look at the pics taken during the tour
- Drive to Laugarvatn Fontana Spa
- Enjoy the spa facilities for as long as you wish
Activity requirements
You must know how to swim and be in good physical condition to take part in this activity.
Minimum weight: 99 lbs (45 kg) / Maximum weight: 264 lbs (120 kg)
Minimum height: 150 cm / Maximum height: 200 cm

Minors must be accompanied by an adult.
If above the age of 60, your doctor will need to sign this medical waiver so that you can participate in this activity.

Pregnant people cannot participate in this activity.
A liability release waver will be signed on site.
It is important that you can both understand and communicate in English in order to participate in the tour.
It is not possible to take part in the activity wearing glasses: if you have a prescription mask, please bring it with you. If not, we advise you to wear contact lenses before joining the guide.
