Course of events
- Arrival at the meeting point at Sólheimajökull Glacier parking lot (please arrive at least 15 minutes before the departure time)

- Receive your gear (crampons, harness, helmet with a headlamp, and hiking boots if you rent them)
- Set off for a 30-minute scenic hike!
- Put on crampons
- Sólheimajökull Glacier Hike
- Arrival at zip-line area
- Introduction to zip-line and zip-lining safety
- Instructor double-checks equipment
- Zip-lining Adventure!
- Return hike to the vehicle
- Transfer back to the original departure point (30-minute drive)
Activity requirements

In addition, participants must be in good physical condition to take part in this excursion.
The Zip Line has a limit of 100kg per person.
Special terms
This Glacier Zip Line + Hike tour involves roughly 2 hours of total hiking. The first half of the terrain is very flat yet rocky and is relatively easy for a person of average fitness. The second half is hiking on the glacier which goes up a gradual incline for about 20 minutes. The overall hike is rated as easy with some areas of moderate exercise.
´No-fly´ Zip Line tickets are for guests who wish to participate in the tour, excluding the Zip Line. ´No-fly´ ticket holders will have the opportunity to watch others on the Zip Line. They will not have the opportunity to leave the tour early and must stay with the guide.

The fun starts at the meeting point in the parking lot at Sólheimajökull Glacier, where you and your group will be greeted by a certified glacier guide. After a safety and itinerary briefing, you will receive all necessary equipment (crampons, harness, helmet with a headlamp) and set off for a scenic 30-minute hike to the edge of the glacier! You will enjoy some magnificent landscapes en route as your guide leads the way, at a pace that is customized to the stamina of the group.
Next, you will set your crampons into the ice and make your way onto Sólheimajökull Glacier (outlet glacier of Mýrdalsjökull) observing deep ice crevasses and moulins as you go. Then, daredevils will rejoice, and you'll be hooked into the zip-line with the instructor double-checking the equipment before your adrenaline-fueled flight over a deep glacier moulin!
