Activity description
Embark on a super jeep adventure with the unforgettable experience of walking through caves made from ice on the Katla glacier.
This Katla Ice Cave Jeep tour from Vík in South Iceland is perfect for those who are travelling by themselves and want to have a truly unique experience. The Katla Ice Cave is part of the Katla glacier, which is a tongue, a flow of ice that comes from Mýrdals glacier, Iceland's fourth largest glacier.
You will spend about 90 minutes at the Katla Cave with a certified, English-speaking glacier guide to show you around this amazing wonder of Mother Nature so that you can safely explore more than one cave if possible and hike around the glacier.
You will also visit Hjörleifshöfði, on the coast, taking back roads and rough tracks, driving on the beach and having fun making this a real Super Jeep experience.
Book your Katla Ice Cave Jeep tour from Vík today, bring your camera and let yourself be amazed by Iceland's raw nature at its best, with proper movie-making landscapes in the shape of crystal blue ice caves, rugged Icelandic nature and towering mountains of ice.
Private tour.
