Immerse yourself in the wild beauty of the Italian Alps and experience the thrill of crystal-clear waters carved into the mountains. Canyoning in the Dolomites offers an unmissable adventure into hidden gorges that are completely inaccessible by normal hiking trails. Surrounded by the majestic peaks of Ponte nelle Alpi near Cornolade, this experience invites you to slide down natural rock formations, swim through emerald pools, and conquer obstacles in a safe and pristine mountain environment.
Your journey through Val Maggiore unfolds along cliffs of authentic Dolomia rock. This unique carbonate sedimentary rock, rich in magnesium and formed millions of years ago from ancient coral reefs, gives the canyon its characteristic light color and rugged, dramatic shapes. Under the expert guidance of your certified canyoning instructor, you will navigate the stream step by step, learning proper walking techniques on riverbeds, sliding down smooth stone chutes, and experiencing controlled abseiling descents tailored specifically to your comfort level.
This family-friendly tour is meticulously structured to guarantee high-quality personal attention and a friendly, supportive atmosphere. Every participant is outfitted with premium technical gear, including a professional Petzl harness and helmet, a 5.3 mm Mares Rover neoprene wetsuit, and 3 mm Sealand neoprene socks to keep you warm in the cool mountain waters. No prior experience is required to join this adventure, making it the perfect introduction to white-water progression for both children and adults.
