With family or friends, canyoning will allow you to discover the rich and preserved tropical nature of Martinique. Your instructor will introduce you to the techniques of canyoning on the Saut du Gendarme canyon, in complete safety. This site has been carefully selected and is perfectly adapted to people wishing to discover canyoning, as well as to those who have already done some descents.

After a short walk, you will be immersed in the invigorating coolness of the rainforest. A briefing of the crossing techniques and safety instructions will precede the descent of the Saut du Gendarme canyon, before the tropical adventure in the company of your instructor for 2.5 to 3.5 hours of descent begins! Your exploits will be photographed and filmed, then made available to you at the end of the adventure where a glass of friendship will close your outing in the Saut du Gendarme canyon, just a stone's throw from Fort-de-France.

Practical information

The canyon of Saut du Gendarme is located north of the Massif Pitons du Carbet - it's a succession of abseils, natural pools, river walk, and jumps. The descent includes 7 abseils of a maximum height of 15 meters.

- 15 minutes approach walk
- 2.5 to 3.5 hours of descent
- 5 minutes return walk

Activity requirements

To participate in this activity you will have to be a minimum sporty.

hildren can participate from the age of 10 and must be at least 130 cm.

Special terms

Depending on the size of groups (from 2 to 12 people), the departure for the afternoon will be at 2 or 3 pm.

Canyoning with TropiCanyon is open all year depending on weather conditions.

A minimum of 5 participants is required to validate the trip.
